Trouble Shooting Your Chilipepper Hot Water Pump

The pump runs in two short bursts every 15 to 20 seconds over and over

If the pump runs for two short bursts every 15 to 20 seconds it means there is a short circuit between the control wires

The control circuitry in the Chilipepper monitors the control wires. If it detects that the control wires have been shorted for 15 or more seconds it assumes that there is a short circuit or other problem.  When it detects a short it runs the pump for 1/4 second, waits 1/4 second, and runs the pump again for another 1/4 second and repeats this every 15 to 20 seconds until the short is removed.
