With one of these gadgets, you can add the convenience of quick push-button hot water to your kitchen and bathrooms and you save thousands of gallons of water a year. The Chilipepper is a small, powerful, micro-processor controlled pump that mounts quickly and easily under your kitchen or bathroom sink. It pumps the hot water from your water heater through your hot water pipe to your fixtures, and returns the cold water that was in the hot water piping but cooled off since the last time it was used, through the cold water pipe back to the inlet of the water heater. When you want hot water, you simply press the start button, and the Chilipepper springs to life pumping hot water to your sink from your water heater at 1-2/2 to 3 gallons per minute. Much faster than letting the faucet run if you have low flow fixtures, and most homes do nowdays. When hot water reaches the pump, it is sensed by an internal temperature sensor which signals the micro processor, which automatically shuts the pump off. When you hear the pump shut off your hot water is waiting for you instead of you waiting for it! Once the pump detects water temperature over 100 degrees, it won't start until the temperature drops below 100 degrees. If you push the start button the Chilipepper will run for 1/2 second and then shut off, letting you know that there is already hot water in the line. By saving you water and energy, the Chilipepper can pay for itself in as little as six months...how many kitchen gadgets can say that?
In many cases your house plumbing system allows you to
provide quick hot water to several, or even all of the kitchen sinks,
bathroom sinks and other
fixtures in your home with just one Chilipepper installed at the fixture
furthest from your water heater. If you have a septic system, a Chilipepper will reduce
the sewage flowing into the system increasing its life. You don't have to stand around waiting for the hot water any more!
