Trouble Shooting Your Chilipepper Hot Water Pump

The pump only runs for a few seconds and shuts off without getting hot water to the fixture.

Make sure that the hot and cold water supply valves are turned fully on and run the hot and cold water faucets at the sink where the pump is installed for a few moments to be sure no air is trapped in the pump.

Tankless water heater tip: 

Some gas tankless water heaters require 120 volts to operate the electronic temperature controls.  This means that during a power failure you will not have access to hot water. 

Some tankless water heaters generate the voltage they need from the flowing water and thus are able to provide you with hot water even during a power outage.
